Day Camps

Summer Camp at Assiniboine Park and Zoo

Camp at Assiniboine Park is an exciting program that focuses on educational and experiential activities for children. The camp has daily themes (based upon plants, animals, art, recreation and nature) that explore the variety of venues within Assiniboine Park including the Nature Playground, Park gardens, Pavilion Gallery Museum, Conservatory and Zoo! Each year our education team plans new programs so that campers will enjoy new themes, activities, crafts, tours and games.

AGES: For children entering Grades 1 to 6 (aged 6 to 12)
DATES:                 July 2 to August 30
TIMES: Camps run 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
(Drop-off from 8:30 - 9:00 am. Pick-up from 4:00 - 4:30 pm)

Themes

This summer let your kids travel around the world at Assiniboine Park and Zoo. They will discover what’s been hiding in the wilds of North America; explore the tropical forests of South America; get lost in Australia - the land down under; go to the ends of the Earth with a Pole to Pole quest and finish on Friday with an African Safari.

Have your children experience camp through the eyes of everything from a bird or tree to a pond or an insect! They will learn about this amazing world from the point of view of weird and wonderful plants and animals at our Park and Zoo.
