2013 Red River Co-op Summer Entertainment Series

Click to visit the Red River Co-op website.The Assiniboine Park Conservancy (APC) is excited to announce another fantastic line-up of musical acts, movies and art exhibitions as part of the Red River Co-op Summer Entertainment Series, running June through August at Assiniboine Park. 

The entire series is offered free to the public and made possible solely through sponsorship support.

This year’s schedule features more than 30 events including weekly musical acts at the Lyric Theatre, jazz in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden and returning for its third season – Movies in the Park.

Escape the noise and heat of the concrete jungle and enjoy the very best of jazz in Winnipeg, in the Leo Mol Sculpture Garden amid blooming flowers, flowing fountains, and beautiful works of art.

Art in the Park

Feature Exhibition: Cultural Impressions – Contemporary Art from Winnipeg to Nunavut
May 21 to September 2 | Pavilion Gallery Museum & Conservatory Foyer Gallery

Working in partnership with other galleries and museums in Manitoba, this exhibition will explore contemporary art and Inuit sculpture, highlighting the cultures of the Inuit, Cree, and Dene in a representative and powerful collection. Assiniboine Park Programming will also be highlighting northern aboriginal art and art forms over the next year.

Painting the Prairies

Featuring Ivan Eyre’s interpretive paintings of the prairie landscape he grew up in.

Prairie Vistas

Featuring watercolour paintings, woodblock prints, etchings, and engravings by Walter J. Phillips.

Student Exhibition
