Qualico Family Centre

Imagine a beautiful space nestled under a canopy of trees by a quiet pond, the crackle of a warm fireplace, and an inviting patio.

Blending in with its natural surroundings, the Qualico Family Centre is a welcoming gathering place for Park visitors and is capable of hosting a variety of events, from Park programs for children, to corporate retreats, weddings, receptions, and other celebrations.

The Park Café

The Qualico Family Centre is home to The Park Café. Executive Chef Heiko Duehrsen, formerly of The Gates on Roblin, has created family-friendly breakfast and lunch menus that are both interesting and affordable.

The Park Café is open daily from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm 

Please note that The Park Café does not accept reservations.

Birthday Parties at the Qualico Family Centre

Consider hosting your child’s next birthday party in the Acorn Activity Room at the beautiful new Qualico Family Centre. Parties are available for groups of 10 to 30 children. Packages include a dedicated party attendant, themed games and activities, food and beverages, and a goodie bag for the birthday child.

Events & Celebrations

The Centre’s meeting and banquet facilities – which include a 160-seat reception hall – boast state-of-the-art audio and video technology. Chef Heiko’s banquet menu features a tempting selection of savoury soups, delicious salads, sumptuous entrees, and delectable desserts.

Acorn Activity Room

Assiniboine Park offers a great variety of high quality programs for people of all ages and many of these classes and workshops are now held in the gorgeous Acorn Activity Room at the Qualico Family Centre. From Nature Tots for the toddler set to creative workshops for adults, there is something for everyone.

Imagine a Place

The opening of the Qualico Family Centre, named in recognition of a generous leadership gift from Brian and Ruth Hastings, marks the completion of the first phase of the Assiniboine Park Conservancy's capital redevelopment program, supported by the Imagine a Place Campaign.

Ordering of Phase II MemoryStones at the Qualico Family Centre in Assiniboine Park closed May 1, 2012.
